Hope Hull, Ala., October 21, 2013 — VT Miltope, a company of VT Systems, Inc., today announced
they will be offering a new semi-rugged derivative of the HP ZBook 17 computer called the SRNC-17,
mobile workstation called the SRNC-17, Semi-Rugged Notebook Computer.
VT Miltope President and CEO Julie Briggs made the announcement with HP’s Todd Gustafson during
the Association of the United States Army’s (AUSA) 2013 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
“We are thrilled to introduce a new product to the ‘My Miltope’ family of computers and peripherals,” said
Briggs. “The SRNC-17 combines the ruggedness of VT Miltope and the technology of HP in one
package. It also allows VT Miltope to bring to market our extensive ultra-rugged, Department of Defense
experience with a new computer for use in less severe conditions while maintaining our trademark
reliability in the extreme.”

Group, HP “The HP ZBook 17’s power and expandability combined with VT Miltope’s experience with
DoD requirements will provide an outstanding integrated solution.”
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
The SRNC-17 is a highly reliable, high performance-computing platform designed for less harsh
conditions, but still requiring a degree of ruggedness. The core architecture is based on the 4th
Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor and Mobile Intel® 8 Series QM87 Express chipset. And like every
VT Miltope computer, it is designed and tested to stringent MIL SPEC and environmentally screened to
withstand the harshest conditions in the world.
